Colin L. Guy has represented clients throughout Texas in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate level. Prior to graduating summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law, Mr. Guy worked as a reporter at newspapers in Austin, Midland, and Beaumont. Mr. Guy applies the same research and investigative skills honed as a reporter to aggressively pursue early resolution of his clients’ cases, advocating for dismissal or summary judgment whenever claims may be resolved prior to trial. In addition to advocating for clients at every stage of litigation, Mr. Guy has experience advising clients about statutory and regulatory compliance, as well as evaluating potential claims in order to develop an appropriate plan before suit is filed. His article on the judicial system’s role in combating the proliferation of computer viruses, “Malvertising: Tort Law’s Role in Ridding the Web of Malicious Advertising”, was published in the Winter 2011 edition of the South Texas Law Review.
