Colin L. Guy has represented clients throughout Texas in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate level and in arbitration. His litigation experience includes will contests and claims for breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duty; residential construction defects; securities; contractual disputes and other commercial matters. Mr. Guy’s practice often involves advocating for equitable remedies that may be available for claims in which no adequate legal remedy is available, including injunctive relief; constructive trusts; rescission or specific performance of contracts; and the broad authority trial courts have available under the Texas Declaratory Judgment Act. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Guy’s practice was primarily devoted to medical-malpractice defense, during which time he developed extensive experience evaluating and litigating complex medical and legal issues.
Prior to graduating summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law, Mr. Guy worked as an award-winning reporter at newspapers in Austin, Midland, and Beaumont and has had his feature articles distributed by the Associated Press and published in magazines. Mr. Guy applies the same research, investigative and narrative skills honed as a reporter to aggressively develop and effectively present his clients’ cases.
