- Anne Marie Finch has been elected to the 2012 Board of Directors for Habitat for Horses, Inc. Habitat for Horses is one of the largest equine protection organizations in the country, with supporters in every state and around the world. While its main facilities are in Texas, it has foster homes and adopted horses throughout the United States. With hundreds of active volunteers, Habitat for Horses maintains an extensive network of foster homes that devote much of their lives to the rehabilitation and retraining of the equine that come through its gates. Every year it completes hundreds of investigations and touches the lives of thousands of horses. Since its main emphasis is the education of the owner, it is able to successfully complete most of those investigations. When required, it assists law enforcement in taking the case through the court system and placing the horses in foster homes.

- Alvin L. Zimmerman was elected in 2011 as Chair Elect of the ADR Sections of both the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas and was selected to membership in LawDragon.
- Leonard J. Meyer successfully defended a futures broker in an employment case, and obtained for the client a significant award against his employer Wells Fargo.
