Biography

Mary Axelrad concentrates her practice in real estate, banking, and secured transactions. In addition, Ms. Axelrad handles corporate and general business matters. She serves as counsel to several local real estate developers and independent banks in the Houston area.

Ms. Axelrad is a frequent speaker at seminars sponsored by the University of Houston and by the Texas Association of Bank Counsel. Ms. Axelrad is fluent in Spanish. Ms. Axelrad was elected to serve a 2 year term (2008-2009) on the board of directors of CREW Houston (Commercial Real Estate Women). She was also elected to serve a 3 year term (2007-2009) on the board of directors of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel.

Ms. Axelrad served on the nominating committee for the Texas Bar Foundation in 2008 and she served as the 2009 chairman of the South Texas College of Law Real Estate Seminar.
